  1. Don't need to remove anything apart from the two circled bolts. Box stays on. Gotta be worth a shot before all that expense and effort.
  2. Don't go cheap be doing them again in 6 months. I'm using energy suspension poly ones. There very firm but I doubt they will ever need replacing again.
  3. Not for me dude. But it's your car do whatever pleases your eye!
  4. Well it really is. Obviously I can't gaurantee it'll cure the problem but certainly a common cause.the spring and ball sit in a notch on the shift rod and hold selected gear. If the ball wears or the spring fails it doesn't work. Very simple. I just happen to have a box sat outside my back door. The two circled holes contain the offending articles.and the other pic is what often fails. Again I happen to have these floating about the kitchen. So took a pic. Just have to be really careful and put them in square.
  5. I'm pretty sure someone's tried this before and there's some weird s**t occurs. Because of the different length of shock. Maybe weetec's project thread??? Can ya search for mg zs lowering springs to accompany the mg shocks??
  6. That's fair dos. But to change the parts you need is literally a half hour job on axle stands they are accessible externally. No need to drop the box. Just drain down remove couple of bolts. Springs and balls drop out. Replace them. And put bolts back in. Refill. Should stop it jumping out of gear
  7. I've got those parts spare if you need them. Pm me if req
  8. If it pops out of gear it probably wants one of the ball bearings or springs changing. Easy fix. And worth a try before a new box
  9. Couple people here have them. Know people who got em on different cars aswell. So look good if you like stuff that stands out

  12. It's old and it's a Nissan course it's got a bit of scrot rot. Standard. Glad you've had a good job done by them. Never been to epr. Its in Loughborough yeah??? If makes ya feel better about the timing. I've not had my car for 4 months now. p**sing me right off.
  13. Oh yeah the washers and nuts are super cheap. Good stuff! What you gonna change then?
  14. It's a tad low compared to other hondas I've had. They usually sit just under half. Or about a 3rd up. First thing to do is change thermostat and go from there.
