Project TDi Bora... Plastidip...eh yeah .... Dont do it
vtec2011 replied to jamestopdog's topic in Other cars
What is the matter with the bloke? Knocking you down a couple hundred quid so he can add something with his taste to the car? That's like saying "I'll give you 2 grand so I can get £600 wheels" -
Fair bit going on Grant! Looking good! Bit of a front-end transformation with the fogs and grill

Trims finally back on! Loads cleaner! Regarding to the uneven height on the MGZS shocks and springs. As stupid as it sounds and probably doesnt apply to our Civic's, but some cars have different spring rates on each side. I had this problem on a few customers cars before when fitting 2 new spings

My Civic MB2 Project! Discs and pads needed!

I done the timing-belt myself and took me about an 'hour and a half'. This involves removing the engine mount, auxiliary belts and power steering fluid reservoir. Pretty straight forward, it's just when it comes to timing it gets pretty scary But I haven't replaced a crank seal before. I can imagine you have to remove the exhaust manifold and drop the sump to gain excess to the crank seal- 1,645 replies

Hamza's silver MB3 - 07/08/2014 - Red rocker cover
vtec2011 replied to h4mza's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
The leak could possibly be the rear feed pipe or return pipe going to the fuel tank (I had this problem) But from what you saying, it's coming from the engine area? Have you done a service recently and changed the fuel filter? Check both pipes going to the filter. Also looking for fuel leaks can be difficult at times as petrol can evaporate, depending how long the leak has been there. I hope you get this sorted out soon mate -
My PB MB9 Aerodeck! Engine rebuild in progress
vtec2011 replied to vtec2011's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
When I first got the Aerodeck, I asked the people in the accident repair centre if they can quote me on fixing the dents, rust-spot and a respray. It's a 600 quid job and that's on the rear quater panel and arch only! Now that I nearly done the filling, I asked them just to respray the filled in patches (obviously the whole panels will need respraying) and now they quoted me £180 -
Excellent work mate, job well done! I was wondering where you was going to place the battery because I didn't think it would fit the boot storage. Also loving the seats

Thanks Stephen! That is what I thought too. Plus if I got another tatty car, it wouldn't be a problem for me I done a bit more to it yesterday, more filling and sanding. Still not quite perfect but she's getting there. It's all time consuming but I enjoy it -

Mine leaks a tad around the crank pulley area. Even my old MB3 did too. How bad is it? Enough to make the driveway messy?- 1,645 replies

Yeah he use to do a lot of it on his old Cortina's, Capri's, even motorbikes I hope so! Cheers pard! So when sanding back the filler, the red primer allows you to see the parts which still needs filling. But I also used the red primer to cover the filler until it get resprayed
