Should be okay, it's mainly for sound deadening.

That's an interesting one! As far as I'm aware the info above is correct but I don't know anyone that's tried parts from the CRV gearbox.

If the oil level or pressure is low VTEC & IABS don't engage still.

It's mixed really, I know a guy who's had an eBay turbo kit on his MX-5 for nearly ten years without failure. Others explode immediately just unwrapping them! But yes you can just change the turbo charger or even go down the second hand route for some parts. Many ways to skin this particular cat.
