  3. Hi Paul Should be an easy fix mate. The light your seeing on dash is "door open", not door unlocked. When the light comes on, are the doors actually open when you check them? If the doors are closed, then the problem is an easy fix. If you open the doors, you will see a small microswitch on the C pillar near the catch. It may just need adjusting. Undo to screw slightly just enough to let you move the switch. Move it outwards (away from the car's interior) then retighten. If the problem persists, try spraying a small amount of WD40 into the switch them work the switch in and out. If that doesn't fix it, replace the switch. Let us know how you get on. @pau2112
  4. Wow! You think thats high, cost me just ove £200 to get my dc2 typeR wheel retrimmed for the deck! They did do an amazing job though to be fair. £65 is a great price. Really love this one, looks flawless.......perfect! Respect for the amount of work mate
  5. Glad to hear you got one mate. Id put a new clutchbin there too if you havent already.......means itll many moons before the gearbox ever has to come out again
  6. Ill try and measure the current hieght mate and take a photo for you
  7. A lot of them you need to do it yourself but due to health and safety rules most will remove it for you mate. Not sure on the going rate for one but think at a breakers it will be below the £150 mark
  8. That's pretty damn good mate, just one advisory is excellent. Mot times always a worry! Think the drop links on the mini might need doing before the MOT comes up but other than that hope the MOT goes like yours!
  9. Sounds serious bud. Might be worth taking it apart again like krzys says, although not a lot you can do with gearboxes if you're not a specialist. You'll find a d series gearbox in most breakers yards mate, very easy to come by. Phone some local breakers and ask if they have any 1.4, 1.5 or 1.6 civics in. Even one from a 3 door should fit I think.
  10. Thanks mate, had her out again just before christmas for a run, just drives like a dream. Really wanting the bonnet and front lip resprayed though, but moneys tight with the wedding coming up in June so might have to settle for doing something with in around august methinks. Also contemplating a double din conversion as Ive got two spare centre consoles to play with so that might be happening this year too. Still got the pioneer DD touchscreen I had in the typeS and typeR so would be nice to fit it to something! Six hunde red quids worth of head unit sitting in its box in the garage is a waste!

Was speaking to paul (bladerider) and he had some interesting info on the show. They have recorded an episode in edinburgh where theyre driving a lambo and two other supercars. Paul had some guys in his taxi who had been working on the show and apparently most of the footage you see is fake (in his own words). The trio turn up around 10 or 11am and film for half an hour to an hour (in-car shots and a couple of footage peices from outside the cars) and then bugger off to their hotel to get drunk. And thats them done. The rest of the days shooting doesnt even have them in it, the footage you see is the cars being driven by "hired professional drivers" (the guyscin pauls taxi). In the shots it looks and sounds like theyre giving the cars beans around the city but they (the drivers) are explicitly told they must not go above 30 mph. So again some camera jiggery pokery. The drivers told paul that its great work though, and they each get paid around £500 to £600 for driving the cars for the day. Nice job but wonder how much the trio get for their half hours work? The mind boggles!
