    Fuel lines help

Hi Faz. I looked into this quite a lot last year as I needed to change mine. In the end I got a new fuel feed line from honda, and had the low pressure ones made up with copper. I couldn't really find any braided kits in the UK other than just engine bay, and not a massive amount of reliable info on what types and sizes of hoses and fittings. The closest that I found was a guy in the states selling full kits for a dc2 integra. I had some messages with him about it and will try and find his details.
  2. Hello mate, the 1 series looks smart The wheels that's on it look nice, but I bet some new ones will transform it - if it's RWD are the rears wider still? Are you planning on going for something different or more oem ones? So is the deck off the road at the minute?
  3. Not much to report... The first ABS sensor that came was totally wrong - think that it was for the diesel deck... New one came and was dropped off at the garage, and should be getting fitted on Monday and then MOT. had the Ep3 seats out today for a good old clean as they were absolutely mingling! Covered in mould from being sat in a damp car for two years. One good hoover and steam clean later... Came up really nice. Would quite like to get them recovered tbh... I really fancy going half leather with the vti fabric.
  4. The boys got a ps4 for Christmas a year ago (bit late to the party I guess) and gt is good, but it's the only one in ps4, and doesn't feel like a proper old school gran turismo. Apparently gt 7 when it comes out is going to have some of the bits from the early ones that had got lost along the way, but that's just going to be on the ps5
  5. Unfortunately not here - we're a playstation house so GT is the go to driving sim here.
  6. Yep.. Bit of warm sun would do wonders.

    Brake servo

Oh well... The old memory isn't what it once was
  8. Always feel like they missed a trick not making a type r jazz - could have been an awesome little go kart.. Would have been interesting to see what a revvy k16/18 might be like

    Brake servo

To be totally honest I've no idea, but my gut feeling is that it might be in the realms of the parts that are different - though to be fair I could well be wrong. I'm sure I remember folk upgrading to other honda brake servos though... Maybe dc2? I've got a feeling that @noodels either did this or was going to.
  10. Brill topic! Well, spookily similar to you, but my best is my deck (the spirit lives on...), and my worst was a J reg 1.6 cavalier.... Looked pretty much like this... A £300 death trap of a car that I bought after killing my eg with a signpost, and did 350 miles a week in until the MOT tester condemned it. I'll take a photo of the fail sheet tomorrow
  11. It is a possibility to be fair... Especially because when I was struggling to unplug the one off the old car I ended up cutting the cable off on the other side of the connector from the sensor... Meaning I wouldn't be able to use the loom of the old shell, so therefore it's bound to be what's wrong... Sod's law and all that.
  12. When the garage first called about it, I said "oh, it'll probably just need resetting, the light always comes on, you just need to bridge some pins on the connector on the centre console, not the ecu one... I'll send you some info" Then checked the how to, are realised that I was thinking about the SRS one, and phoned them back to eat humble pie...
  13. Good shout - I was wondering about that but thought that I was getting confused with the SRS light.
  14. So garage had a road test which went okay. Need 4 wheel alignment with the new rear camber bits and all the suspension shenanigans. Also, dreaded abs light, so that needs sorting before MOT. Went rooting around under tubs to take off the one from there and dropped it off on Saturday, but they fitted it yesterday, and the light was still on. They were going to get it plugged into a reader to pull the code to double check. Looks like I'll need a new one though. I did find the Japan parts ones at micksgarage.com, but they don't seem to list the ones for the rear right. There's one for every other wheel, and then one which is just listed for the rear axle, and doesn't come with the brackets fitted. https://www.micksgarage.com/d/abs-sensors/honda/honda-civic/civic-vi-estate-1998-to-2001/1-8-16v-mc2-169-1797/products I was wondering if it's the same for both sides, but just the brackets are different? In which case it should be OK, and will just need the brackets swapping. I've actually got spares for both front side and the rear left in the garage as well
  15. That would be interesting - the k20 in the wife's old accord tourer was good, but just felt lacking for that big beast (especially when full of camping gear and roof box), would be much better suited to this though.
  16. Yeah.. It just worked and was simple as you needed it to be. I'd love to see how quick Windows 98 or NT would be on a modern pc.
  17. Any sneaky pics of the track rat yet? Sounds like a well cool way to spend some time with your lad.
  18. Ubuntu is fine until you need to do something other than just use it... Then it gets into the spending two hours researching on the Internet and pasting stuff into the terminal. It's faster than Windows though. Was using an old xp laptop a couple of days ago and that was super fast. It's a shame that xp hit the end of the road, as it was the best Windows ever.
  19. Good skills sir. I have an old laptop that used to be my work one years ago (on my second new one since then). It came with vista, but we were still on xp at work..... I'd been using Ubuntu on it instead of Windows for a while, which was much faster, but then I put an ssd in it and boosted the ram. Like you say, the ssd on the system drive makes it fly on boot. Most impressive on my Ubuntu one is shutdown.. It takes seconds I keep trying to get Karen to get an ssd in her mac that she uses for work.
  20. Cheers, still with grant's old reg. Yeah, and means I can go for a private reg in the future if I want to.
  21. Totally over the moon that they reversed the decision. They had made it so that both of the original registrations were void, and issued a new vin. I was going to have to get the old vin obliterated, get a new one stamped on to the chassis, get a new vin plate fitted, then apply for a VSA inspection which could take a month to get sorted, and then register it with the DVLA when they'd issue a Q plate.
  22. They just called back, he found the other records and that it had already been re registered on the r plate, so that will stand... Panic over
  23. Not happy Just got a letter from the DVLA saying that the car has to have a Q plate on. This is after they told me that it didn't need one, but that I couldn't keep the tubs reg, and then sent me out a new V5. So now I've got to go through the faff of getting a new VIN number stamped on, and have a feckin Q plate that I can't change or get a private reg!
  24. Yeah, don't fancy having to leave it in - some knacker would be bound to try and have it away. Plan is to have that sitting on the section where the clock etc is, but extended out to be the width of the centre bit, and then have a lid that tapers downwards back to the inner side of the vents. That's the plan, but I'm kind of going from memory until I get the car to sit in and work it out. Will have a usb cable coming out with a 90° connector on, and the cable will connect on the open side.
