  1. Your civic looks sweet on the stand Matt! Defo prefer it on the cups, nice combo with the cascade green that mate. Whats the next planned mods for her?
  2. Get your names on the list for the stand at Japfest2 guys! http://civic5.com/forum/topic/9871-japfest-2-2015/
  3. well, had DD in for her MOT.................and she passed! Well chuffed! Got her brake fluid changed at the same time, and she drove perfectly for the whole trip. Pitty it rained on the way home, which meant she got filthy! Had to put her back into the garage still dirty as the rain stayed on. Not happy! lol Got her all washed and polished again though, so she's looking top dollar. Had her out for a wee run down to Musselburgh through the week as it was a nice sunny day, and got caught up in a long traffic jam. Couldnt believe the looks she was getting from drivers who were stuck going in the opposite direction....lots of stares and a few thumbs up! Love driving her, although that doesnt show in her mileage for this years mot. How many miles since her mot last year?? Well, its gone up by a big bit..................2 thousand miles in a year! Was only 700 miles the last time lol. Going to give her another polish ready for the St Marys Loch Memorial meet next month, and try and get her new rocker cover done in time too. She's sitting pretty!
  4. How the hell did I miss this project thread!!!!! What an absolute steal of a price for the deck mate! Love what you've done with her, looks sweet as! Noticed in your early pics your only about 3 miles away from me too! How the heck have I not seen this going about???? Recognise the old ruined buildings in the back drop of the photos aswell......what happened to that place? Used to operate dumper trucks from there if I remember rightly? You mentioned you were moving though, not too far away I hope! Would be good to get some photos of your deck and DD together, fancy a wee photoshoot sometime before the meet? keep up the good work on her mate, and dont sell up! Awesome build! 8-)
  5. Really sweet mb6 mate, like it a lot! I was in a vtis once that had the ek9 gearbox and the acceleration was immense, like you say, no dropping out of VTEC.
  6. Does seem a bit odd. The rears I think will mostly be the same across the range, whereas the fronts will be different according to the model they came from (different engine weights etc) This could explain why the front is currently sitting high...they could be from the V6 mgzs which will have heavier springs/shocks. What mb do you have? (Need to fill in your profile so it shows your car . )The mb shocks should be fine with the Ebach springs, if they're matched to your mb (mb2, Mb6 etc)

    Air bag recall

read about this too, wonder if it affects the new typeR! have to say I'm not impressed with hondas latest cars, build quality aint what it used to be!
  8. Ok guys, the uploading problem seems to be fixed. Marcus, when you've uploaded the photos to your thread, remember to click the "Add to post" button next to each photo. This will avoid the "attached thumbnails" showing on your post. I logged in with your account, and was able to upload fairly big photo files, none of which were resized to the forum specs, so are all full size. All no problem mate. So you should find it all works now. Regarding the links above that werent working, these have also been fixed and the affected forums are now available to view Apologies for the errors chaps. If you find any more, please submit a support ticket straight away, with a copy of the error message so i can sort things out more quickly Enjoy!
  9. I'm going to test your account mate, so random stuff may appear in here for now (posted by you lol) but I'll delete it after testing.
  10. I'll sort out this problem with uploading today chaps. Not sure why those links are saying that as they are working for me?? But this WILL be sorted today. Marcus, keep trying with the uploading mate, any errors you get, send them to me in a pm bud and I can work out whats going on Cars looking mint by the way!! Loving the planned mods!

    MC1 lowering

Looking good so far mate. Sweet colour too!
  12. You can also get the low profile fender bolts/washers, in any colour you want. These are great for adding detail to the bay. You can also get new chrome rocker cover nuts from Honda which really brighten up the newly painted cover. Anodized radiator stay brackets are also available from the likes of Password JDM, and the aircon rad bracket can be sanded down and resprayed with anodized look paint. I used it on DD and it came out stunning mate. Then theres the battery tie down clamp, you can get anodized ones in all different colours, so should be something to suit your theme. All the above are available really cheaply. A bit more costly are the coolant hoses, from Samco etc. Then theres a stainless steel exhaust manifold which looks amazing. Then theres your air filter, an induction kit gives you some nice bling and a sweet sound! As there isnt a brake resevoir cap available that I know of (someone else might be able to clarify this) why not get a resevoir sock? These are cheap as chips and look effective! As long as the bay is kept really clean mate and polished, it looks good Another option would be making some custom parts, such as a stainless steel shield to go around the induction filter (if fitted) and other brackets parts etc. You could remove the bonnet stay and have dampers/shocks fitted instead, or you could just sand the original bonnet stay and metal polish it so it looks like chrome. Trust me mate, its all the little details that make the better bigger picture. The skys the limit bud!
  13. Not long now!!!
  14. Cracking write up mate, and good job turning the car around! Looks sweet on the white fans, cant go wrong with red car/white wheels, one of my fav combos! The bumper is either from a VTi (minus the front lip) or an ES. Those were the only two that came standard with fogs and headlight washers (well, the headlight washers anyways, fogs were standard for VTi but option for ES ) Keep up the good work!
  15. Yup, pully came off on Ruby first week I had her!
  16. Great answer Andrew!
  17. Lets make this a good one guys!!
  18. Easy one mate. Just look for a "rover 400/45 MGZS" rear arch repair panel. Heres one on ebay >>> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/291356798848?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&rlsatarget=&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108 Id ask if they have a photo of it without the wrapping on it, so you can see its the correct one.
  19. Nice one chaps! Get plenty photos!!

  22. both have been on the forum regulary for a long time mate!
  23. Hi mate. Its sad to see you selling up, but can uinderstand why. Our new forum rules are that anyone with a minimum of 100 posts (non spam posts) can now sell in our classifieds section (click on the button in the main forum navigation menu bar). New members still cant use it, but once they hit 100 posts they get automatically upgraded to the Member group, and can then start using it. Just a wee security measure to keep scammers at bay As you have over 100 posts, you can use the classifieds section mate. Its a really neat app, giving proper ads that look similar to Ebay/gumtree etc. The wee fee is only 50p per ad, which will help with the costs for the ap and the forum.
  24. And good job on curing the water ingress mate! DD got her pollen filter changed at the service a few weeks back, and they said it was pretty full of leaves too, so good to get them cleaned out!
  25. Wow, thats some mileage mate! It can be hard to justify the car when fuel costs come into it, I'm the same with the TypeR. Keep thinking stuff this, costing an arm and a leg on fuel, must get something cheaper to run. But then theres those little times where you just want to have fun, and open her up............all thoughts of swapping her for something more fuel friendly are out the window! If you like the car, like the looks, the performance, how it drives.........I wouldnt consider selling up and going for something more efficient. You'll enjoy the fuel saving for a little while, then just be plain bored with it and wanting your MB6 back mate! Stick with it if you can! That cameras pretty good for £40 eh! Not too bad at all! You got some cracking roads down there!
