Looking good so far mate. Sweet colour too!
  2. You can also get the low profile fender bolts/washers, in any colour you want. These are great for adding detail to the bay. You can also get new chrome rocker cover nuts from Honda which really brighten up the newly painted cover. Anodized radiator stay brackets are also available from the likes of Password JDM, and the aircon rad bracket can be sanded down and resprayed with anodized look paint. I used it on DD and it came out stunning mate. Then theres the battery tie down clamp, you can get anodized ones in all different colours, so should be something to suit your theme. All the above are available really cheaply. A bit more costly are the coolant hoses, from Samco etc. Then theres a stainless steel exhaust manifold which looks amazing. Then theres your air filter, an induction kit gives you some nice bling and a sweet sound! As there isnt a brake resevoir cap available that I know of (someone else might be able to clarify this) why not get a resevoir sock? These are cheap as chips and look effective! As long as the bay is kept really clean mate and polished, it looks good Another option would be making some custom parts, such as a stainless steel shield to go around the induction filter (if fitted) and other brackets parts etc. You could remove the bonnet stay and have dampers/shocks fitted instead, or you could just sand the original bonnet stay and metal polish it so it looks like chrome. Trust me mate, its all the little details that make the better bigger picture. The skys the limit bud!
  3. Not long now!!!
  4. Cracking write up mate, and good job turning the car around! Looks sweet on the white fans, cant go wrong with red car/white wheels, one of my fav combos! The bumper is either from a VTi (minus the front lip) or an ES. Those were the only two that came standard with fogs and headlight washers (well, the headlight washers anyways, fogs were standard for VTi but option for ES ) Keep up the good work!
  5. Yup, pully came off on Ruby first week I had her!
  6. Great answer Andrew!

  12. both have been on the forum regulary for a long time mate!
  13. Hi mate. Its sad to see you selling up, but can uinderstand why. Our new forum rules are that anyone with a minimum of 100 posts (non spam posts) can now sell in our classifieds section (click on the button in the main forum navigation menu bar). New members still cant use it, but once they hit 100 posts they get automatically upgraded to the Member group, and can then start using it. Just a wee security measure to keep scammers at bay As you have over 100 posts, you can use the classifieds section mate. Its a really neat app, giving proper ads that look similar to Ebay/gumtree etc. The wee fee is only 50p per ad, which will help with the costs for the ap and the forum.
  14. And good job on curing the water ingress mate! DD got her pollen filter changed at the service a few weeks back, and they said it was pretty full of leaves too, so good to get them cleaned out!
  15. Wow, thats some mileage mate! It can be hard to justify the car when fuel costs come into it, I'm the same with the TypeR. Keep thinking stuff this, costing an arm and a leg on fuel, must get something cheaper to run. But then theres those little times where you just want to have fun, and open her up............all thoughts of swapping her for something more fuel friendly are out the window! If you like the car, like the looks, the performance, how it drives.........I wouldnt consider selling up and going for something more efficient. You'll enjoy the fuel saving for a little while, then just be plain bored with it and wanting your MB6 back mate! Stick with it if you can! That cameras pretty good for £40 eh! Not too bad at all! You got some cracking roads down there!
  16. If you have any problems with the site or Civic5, you can submit a support ticket which will ensure your problem gets dealt with efficiently. To submit a support ticket, just click the "Contact us" button in the main menu bar at the top of the page. You can choose on the ticket which dept to direct it too, again meaning you get the right support quickly and efficiently. Once you have filled in the details of your problem, just click submit and your support request will be sent to us. Easy!
  17. Ok, this is to help anyone who might not know how to post photos on the web. Here's how to post pictures on this site. This How To is also used to display an image in your signature (the bit underneath all our posts) To change your sig, go to the top right of the page, click your username to see the dropdown menu, and select "Account settings". You will then see a new page, and on the left side, a menus bar. Fifth one down is "signature". Click on it, and you will see a box where you can fill in what you want in your signature. If you want a photo in it, click the "Choose files" button and choose a photo from your pc/device. Once it has uploaded the photo, click the small "add" symbol on the photo and it will add it to your signature. You can also use photos hosted elsewhere such as photobucket. To use one of these, visit your image on photobucket etc and copy the url of the image. Paste the url into the signature box. Now click "save changes" and you're done! Please note, maximum size of sigs are 600 x 100px NOTE: For photobucket images, you need to use the "direct link" option on photobucket. Dave
  18. FAO iPHONE & iPAD users in order for your photos to display the correct way round in the forum, please use this simple guide when taking photos with iPhone/iPads. Using the normal camera function (ie: rear camera) make sure the bottom of the iPhone/buttons on the iPad are on the RIGHT side. If using the front camera (selfie photos), make sure the bottom of the iPhone/buttons on the iPad are on the LEFT side. This is because iPhone/Ipad camera software doesn't put the image orientation info into the photo (mistake/oversight on MS part) meaning the forum software can't tell which way up the photo is meant to be.Taking photos using our method above ensures the photos are displayed the correct way round. Correct way : Bottom of iPhone/Buttons on iPad to the right Any other way (incorrect display will occur)

    sun roof!

It could be the mechanism for opening it fully is jammed/ faulty, or the motor may be on its way out. If I remember rightly, if you remove the plastic casing around the interior light/sunroof switches, there is a bit for opening it manually? This will allow you to check the mechanism for anything obviously wrong. Or it might even work once its been opened manually, have seen this happen before.
  20. lol its all luck as to what stickers are sent out chaps. The newest ones are slightly smaller (well the www. and the .com bits are) and I think go on the inside of the glass. Not got many left now so will probs be ordering more soon. Not sure if our usual supplier is still in business though, so will need to speak to Dave and Sarah to see if he is. Also might be looking at getting a vinyl plotter, and using it to make our own civic5 stickers and other designs. Depends on price/demand
  21. I should have a set of switches in stock for the centre arm rest bit mate. Will check and see whats there
  22. Excellent! Glad thats sorted that out mate, and easy peasy to replace the switch! If you need a new one (they can sometimes be hard to find being the twin fogs (front / rear) switch, I've got a few in stock. Just pm me if you need any
  23. Yes deffo means sure/possitive lol If not power at the fogs then will most probably be one of those relays. Before you go and buy new ones though, check the wiring harness from the fogs up to the inner wing.Theres a connector just to the front of the strut. It plugs into another harness there that takes it into the cabin. If you can, get some wire and use it (along with a multimeter) to check for any breaks in that harness. It can also be dirty/corroded terminals/plugs in that wiring harness too, but easy to check as it's quite a small harness. Whereas most other manufacturers run one harness from the front of the car into the cabin, we're quite lucky with the civic M's in that the fog light harness comes in three parts
  24. If I remember rightly there are two relays for the front fogs mate. One is located in the dash on the drivers side, near the "A" post I think, and one is on or near the fusebox (inside the car). Either of those could be your fault. Are you deffo getting power at the plugs that go into the fog lights? If so, it could well be a relay thats gone. PS: someone please correct if I'm wrong about the relays please! I retro fitted front fogs to my old MA8 and I'm possitive I added 2 relays that came with the OEM wiring harness'
