  1. So in the absence of any progress on the deck, I've cleaned and polished the accord. Could do with a clay bar as there's quite a bit of tar etc. After tubs has been painted, the accord will be going in for some tidying up as well - a couple of small bits of rust and some car park dents off people's doors. And a MOP while it's there.
  2. Hi Alex, welcome along. Nice plan, that should give the old girl a fair bit of extra grunt. Is the H22 a straightforward swap? Do you have any more pics about it?
  3. The yellow should look sweet.
  4. This popped up in my news feed this morning - thought it was worth a share. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/magazine/the-concept-of-the-sustainable-classic/
  5. Look at the purple and reflection! Lush. Those suspension arms look spot on
  6. Will be cool. I remember when Mike did his, and you're right, it did bring it up to date. I had to take my clock out and used the space to fit my phone holder. The clock was always going of sync with the one on my radio and my ocd couldn't cope.
  7. Yeah, think I'm going to have to take them back up to the garage and compare them properly.
  8. Aye, true enough. Can you remember if the wrong ones you got had much difference between the front and back? Size wise, there isn't much difference in the ones I've got About an inch or so.
  9. Cheers Ali, I knew someone had had a problem with hoses before but couldn't remember who. I'll have a spy, cheers
  10. R right chaps, I need some help as I'm not getting any where with goodridge. I've downloaded the parts catalogue and the kit numbers don't seem right... Is showing that the mc2 uses the same kit as other m's with rear disks, but a different kit for the mb6. To be honest, I don't have a clue which is right, but it seems to me that the Vti's would be more likely to share the same kit?
  11. @Dave was selling some Meisters recently.. Not sure if he shifted them.
  12. I think the deck does have different suspension - certainly the eibach springs I've just bought are listed only for the deck. Can't remember about the shocks though. Mine are koni and I did look for them recently but couldn't find them anymore.. Have a feeling that they're specific for the deck though.
  13. Got some new eibach springs coming though to replace the snapped ones.
  14. Trying to find someone else to do the welding.. Not easy at the minute.
  15. From the workshop manual - hope that helps

    MB6 problem

Could it be the distributor? Sounds a bit like what mine did when it died.
  17. Only problem is the mot ran out in September.... It's been a long road so far...
  18. To be honest, I don't know if I can be arsed with the grief at the minute... Won't get me anywhere apart from blowing off some steam and getting more stressed. I certainly won't want them to be putting it right.
  19. They'd undersealed everywhere... I guess the mot'er had done some scraping.
  20. Total PIA. The jacking points were one of the things that I knew needed doing first, from trying to jack it up and them just folding! Yeah, the underseal was done by the garage doing the welding, so my usual mechanic didn't spot it - his ramp lifts the chassis, but the garage doing the mot's ramp used the jacking points. Apparently he noticed the hole when checking the bushes, and the pokey tool went straight through.
