As above, get a sniffer test done. Also might be worth checking for 'mayo' on the oil cap and rad cap (when cold obviously).

Bilbury wheel cleaner, it's PH neutral so is safe to use without diluting it.

You should be fine mate. The system was still under pressure which is why you got the air noise. If you had left it longer until it was stone cold, say before you use the car first time that day you wouldn't have had a problem opening the cap.

We use those on the track car in the wet, good tyres.

Proper dead thread revival! If you get it wrong you get comedy sparks for your effort haha! The poor car hasn't moved or anything since that day! Covered in mould now too

It's not too bad, just the roof bars get in the way when cleaning or drying the roof!
