  3. Hi all, new to the forum from the north of Scotland. Had three of civics in the past but this is my new daily. It is a 1 owner, full Honda service history, 33k on the clock and a 1.4 auto. Perfect daily. Plan is is to make it a simple clean daily, alloys, coil overs etc.
  4. Hi everyone! I want to change all rear lights (blinker, reverse, brake, fog) to LED bulbs and also do the jdm style lights. What LEDs would fit best? if you have any night pics with LEDs post here! And for jdm tail light conversion, i would have to get other fog light loom or i just need the bulb holder? Thank you! (sorry for my English )
  5. Hello, friends. Was changing engine oil on my Civic MB3 the other day and noticed the pipe between the air filter and the engine has a little hole. The car is fine to drive and never had problems with it but I don't like that thing over there. It's the tube of number 6. All the sites where they sell this tube have it discontinued so I guess I won't find it to buy, and even If i could it seems expensive. So is there a way to seal that hole? Or should I try to find one at a scrapyard? Thanks.
  6. Our cars are getitng older now. In fact, although they should be supporting them until 25yrs of age, even Honda seem to be running out of basic parts even. As an example, front brake components. Calipers, carriers etc. My front brakes have had some TLC over the past few years to keep them legal for MOT, but every time i dismantle them, i realise what an awful state they're in, with all the rust etc. I have taken a very relaxed look around on the net from time to time to try and see if I could source new ones (carriers especially) and it shocks me to find that this is impossible it seems. REALLY!!!??? Is this REALLY the case!?
  7. as the aerodeck started having alot off problems in one go i went and got a hatch. it has just under 69k miles on it. white wheels when it turned up and the black and red ones are as it being built .

  10. Hello to anyone reading Meet Gladys, a lovely 1999 Civic with only 87k on the clock Looking for nice easy modifications to help get some of the power back that would have been lost over the years? After having 2 owners from new it's safe to say she has never seen a modification and it's always been a thing of mine and having a Civic. Will be posting new things that are done if anyone would be interested in seeing its progression as it goes from ultra standard to hopefully a head turner for the right reasons, also she will have neons. If you're not a fan then here is the pre-warning on that. Car never came with a luxurious interior, well cream WAS a thing in the 90's. Not so much now :/ Happy for any advice to be given as long as it's not a hater type of opinion. Stay open minded Hoping to meet you guys in the near future! Thanks

  14. Hello everyone. Thought I would share with you my new project. I used to have a project thread a few years ago but cant seem to log on to my old account and cant find my project anywhere so thought id just start a new one seeing as the car in now going in different direction . What started a few years ago as a bit of an all rounder and leaning more towards show car has now turned into a dedicated track and race car. My goal is to spend this year getting my race licence and preparing my car to enter the track attack Nippon challenge next march. This year is currently running at the moment so will be going to watch a few races and hopefully meet a few of the drivers. I have nearly all the parts for a big turbo setup which i was going to fit this summer but now i want to race im going to hold off on this as it would put me in the very competitive GT400 series. By leaving the engine standard ill be entering the GT200 series which for a novice i will be much more suited for. If all goes well and i re enter the year after ill build the engine and fit the turbo and go for the bigger leagues. For now its all about just getting into racing and having fun. Obviously seeing as it’s a racing series the car has to be built to the MSA blue book regulations which is what im working my way through at the moment. The project which im doing in my spare time has only just started and iv got plenty of time between now and next march to get the car built and tested on track days so i am taking my time. I don’t want to make any stupid mistakes either as the regulations are quite strict and im still learning. Any advice from anyone who does track days a lot or is involved in motorsport in any way would be much appreciated. Any way here is a few pics of how it stands now.
  15. Hi all need a little help. I'm going to get the k sport big brake upgrade, 330mm rotors, 8 pot calipers for my mb6. My problem is what car to buy them for as they don't do the kit for our cars. Most people upgrade their brakes to our 286 discs and calipers which seem to bolt on to a lot of other civics and from what I can work out are the same as the older dc2 with the 4x114 stud pattern. If the older dc2 brakes are the same as ours does that mean they will bolt up directly to our hubs? If so I should buy the ksport kit for the dc2 and it will be a straight bolt on job? Any input from someone with good knowing on this would be great as its a lot of money to buy them only to find out they don't fit.

Is the EK coilovers will fit on mb6, so many type on eBay which model or parts is right for the mb6, what I need to care of I heard that the EK coilovers need a top mount nuts to go with it, where can I get the nuts from? Help if anyone know where I can get from eBay please send me the link, just in case I get the wrong one. (I don't want Koni coilovers because too low)
  18. right anyone wanting poly bushes but don't want to get raped for em. use http://www.strongflexuk.co.uk/ they usually take about a week to arrive but are good quality and cheaper than most other places! they also have a category for our cars!!
  19. Hello. First things first, my front windscreen has a great big crack on the left hand side. starts at the edge of where the tax disc would normally be and then goes up to about halfway up the windscreen. And with lots of little scratches here and there actually getting the whole lot replaced would be a nice thing. Not sure if it can be fixed anyways... And the rear windscreen... My car came with the ugly windscreen brake light (black box thing) which I want to remove, especially since it also came with the little spoiler with brake light. Unfortunately, two big holes were made/drilled to fit the brake box thing so can't fully remove it. I've taken it off but it's left two big black circle things which are fugly. So... How much would I be looking at to replace both windscreens, easy enough to do yourself or let the pro's do it? Or would I be better off trying to find a boot+windscreen for my civic in the correct colour? And do you think the crack could actually be replaced, but then what about all those scratches everywhere which actually cause quite a bit of glare in sunlight/heavy rain... Pirates black mb3...
  20. When I had my Impreza, I did a pretty intense Nexus 7 install. It would be a waste not to be able to use it again. I was wondering if there are any double-din centre consoles out there I can buy?
  21. Rover 400 The Civic Conversion Project I was working on my Impreza, when I decided I was going to get a cheap run-around while I took it off the road to do some work on it. I bought a Rover 400 for £200. I knew nothing about the cars, and had no idea it was even a turbo (As it wasn't listed as one on eBay). It was far too slow to be a turbo, but when I tried to insure it, they insisted it was a turbo model. After some inspection of the engine, I realised it was in fact a turbo, and I was then very interested in getting a bit more power and torque from the engine. I looked at some pictures of modified Rover 400's and they actually look half decent. It was then, I wanted to upgrade some of the body work, such as the facelift MG ZS rear end which has a flush boot lid. Somehow, I discovered that the Rover 400 shared exactly the same chassis as the Honda Civic MB 5 door, and that's when I decided to do a full exterior conversion. When I was able to get my hands on a rolling shell, I figured I'd also swap over the interior. The Rover 400 has a grey and wood effect interior, which is a bit too "grandad-esque" for my liking. As you can see from the image, the interior is exactly the same. Rover 400 Interior: Honda Civic MB Interior: Of course, it wouldn't be right to have an 86bhp car that looked fast, so I'll also be doing some engine tuning. Being that this is a mechanical injection mode, digital tuning such as tuning boxes and remapping is not possible. So I will be upping the fuel intake, fitting an intercooler, and fitting a new model turbo charger. The engine already has SDi injectors capable of increased fueling. I'm probably looking at increasing the power to around 130-150, with tons more torque. I'm picking up the Civic shell on Saturday, so stay tuned for updates.
