Not ever bought one tbh mate, know both Ebay and FB are getting dodgy for buying parts lately. I bought a wheel arch for my mk8 Civic and most of the clips to the front side are busted off so can't use it. No bad for £60!🤣

You should try MINIs mate!🤣 my 1st gen cooperS was a money pit (fun tho) and my 2nd gen Cooper almost killed me (had a heart attack fixing the brakes!) 🤣 My cooperS mademoiselle mind up to go back to Honda for a daily driver after 8 or 9 years away from them! Still had DD in the garage, but for daily duties you can't beat a Honda. Nissan comes a close 2nd.

Lol must be a Civic thing! My mk8 TypeS does it every once in a blue moon too! DD has only ever had a tiny bit of water in the spare wheel well, again just once in a blue moon.oh, and she had the standard front A pillar corner of the windscreen leak😅 That ones almost a right of passage with a Civic M! Got that sorted by redoing the seams with seam sealer.

There is just something about these Civic mate ay! Yours are looking superb, loving the deck but also love that you've still got the VTiS!

Hi mate, It could be a number of things, the wiring like you say might be loose or a wre breaking down, or could be a sensor not sending the signal to it. Not sure exactly where it picks up the rpm from tbh, never had that issue with any of mine. Could also be the rev counter itself, or the printed circuit on the cluster. Those have been known to fail on various cars of this age. Best thing to do is get the instrument cluster out and have a look at both it and the wiring. Could be something as simple as a dry solder joint (most likely the cause). For wiring, there's our download able service manual. If the diagram isn't in that I can take a photo of it from my Haynes manual for you. Dave

Welcome to the club mate! That's a tidy deck, really suits those alloys. The diesel version is very very rare, 1st diesel deck I've seen! Have seen the 5 door hatch version and even those are rare!

Yeah, I'm the same, usually drive with the headlights on as fed up of not being seen. Seem worse when driving through the day along our country roads that have a canopy of trees over them, so a dark bit. Will save money on headlight bulbs.😄 Must admit, they do look pretty good. Will do a guide on this I think.

Not sure on the carbon wrap, seen a few done on here but you can always tell its wrap close up. What about hydro dipping? Might be worth a look?

First update for a long time! Now she's staying I decided she's getting returned to her former show car standard so have lots of work planned. Some paintwork (bonnet and zvTiS front spoiler due to stone chips, new bumper to be painted and fitted due to hitting a deer a year and a half ago😄). Want the wheels refurbed and the polished rims reinstated, then going to get all her bushes replaced with new, front to back. Meanwhile, have noticed with her being a dark colour a lot of drivers don't see her on some of our country roads around here. Have had a few pull out on her, so thought less make her safer. Bought and fitted LED DRLs (daytime running lights). Wanted them to be visible when on, but invisible when off so maintaining the oem look at classic shows. Also wanted them to work properly (and legally) so bought a relay etc and wired them so they are on with the ignition, but go off when you turn on the sidelights/headlights. Took a bit of doing, but it's all nicely wired in now and have to admit I really like them! Updates her a little bit for modern living and makes her that little bit safer. Also decided I wanted the touch screen head unit gone! Have really gone off touch screens in cars, find them too distracting and fiddly to operate. Had a top brand Android unit fitted (Atoto) with the motorised 7inch screen. A good looking unit, but didn't really suit the car to be honest. I prefer oem+. So back in with my trusty old Pioneer DAB/CD/USB BT head unit. This has the nice LCD display so is a nice bit of kit. Being Pioneer, the sound puts the Android unit to shame (Chinesium pish imo! Lmao). What I do wish DD had is steering wheel controls. So did a bit of research and turns out that head unit can also be used with the Pioneer IR steering wheel remote control! Had it years and never bloody knew this! 🤣 Got one duly bought and fitted to the steering wheel. What a difference! Again, a discreet modern touch but blends in beautifully. I'll get some photos and videos of all of the above uploaded shortly. If anyone fancies the Atoto Android head unit let me know. Still have the box etc. Just loving driving DD at the moment, she's so smooth and quiet compared to Lexy the TypeS GT. Can't match Lexys fuel economy though but not fussed!😉 All is good in DDs world.

So, as most will probably know I rather foolishly put DD up for sale recently. Decided I wanted a change, into an old Triumph Dolomite or something similar. DD has been sat for around a year and a half in the garage, so took her for her MOT so she'd be ready should she sell. Was fully prepared for a fail, just hoped it wouldn't be too much. Low and behold, she sailed through! Driving her back from the MOT, had a change of heart! Was never sure if I'd even be able to sell her tbh, and did have a couple of buyers wanting to come see her. But she tugged at my heart strings once again and provered herself worthy of staying in the family. Both Gayle and our daughter Faith knew I wouldn't sell her, but apparently I needed to go through the process before coming to my senses!😄

Hi mate, sorry I've not been around. Health has been crap since end of last year and we moved house (deffo the last time this time!) so not had time to get on here. I posted up seeing if there was any interest in a club stand at one of the classic car shows, but only two cars up for it. Bit of a downer but hey ho! Lol Would love to get a meet organised for the summer, still a lot of original members here but also a lot of new faces with new civic Ms that we haven't seen before. Hi mate. There is some mystery over the actual numbers of each VTiS model made. The logbook should have made it easy to identify a genuine one, but unfortunately even that is a minefield as Honda dealerships made mistakes with them when registering the car with the UK DVLA. Some have VTiS on the logbook, some just state model as VTi. The only parts that were unique to the VTiS were drivers side floor mat which had the VTiS logo on it (the other 3 mats were just standard) the gear knob (alloy and engraved in the early VTiS, silver plastic/black leather with "VTiS" in black on it for the post 1997 ones) and the alloys (again, these differed so early ones got 15" Speedline Chronos wheels, later ones got the same as the ones in your photos which are 15" Speedline "fans"). The body kit was available in the accessory catalogue, but was standard on the VTiS. The "mid spoiler" on the aerodeck was also an accessory option. The other thing that marked out the VTiS was the pirates black paint. All VTiS came in pirates black only, so any you see that don't have pirates black are 100% not a genuine VTiS. The Aerodeck ones are a lot rarer as most were the mb6 5 door hatch. Hope this helps a little.

That looks so good with the wrap and those alloys! Tidy that! Might look into wrapping DD. How much did you need to order and how much dud it cost if you don't mind me asking?
