  1. Yeah, the paint is a bit ... eh. Better than rust though, amirite?
  2. Hey guys. I have a quick question I hope you can help me with. Do any of you know if the reverse light is placed opposite in RHD vs LHD on an Mb?
  3. Hello Guys Just thought i would give you an update on the ol' MB6 Project. Ive been very busy as of recent sourcing panels for the restoration. Im very chuffed to find some Genuine Body panels including the Whole Upper sill and rear outer arch. Alongside that i have also sourced some Rear inner arch Extension panels where the Sills Meet the Wheel Arch. Unfortunately the Lower/Inner Sill section was no where to be found alongside the front outriggers but thats not an issue at all. i will be starting to Fabricate some New Lower/Inner Sill sections as if you don't know already the Civic MA/MB has Three Segments to the lower sill. The First part being the Front Jacking point section which starts at the sill then wraps itself round the front chassis legs and subframe mounts. Then there is the Middle section where the Front seatbelts are Anchored to. This section is Spot welded to the floor pan to create a sandwich effect (lovely rust trap btw). The Panel Itself is an L Shape as it also forms apart of the inner sill as its all one pressing. Thankfully the rust has not spread up into the vertical section of the panel as the rust has only ate away at the lower part probably due to all the water being trapped there. and Finally the Last segment being the Rear Sill Extension assembly which contains the rear jacking points and the Semi Trailing arm bush mounting. With Fabricating these lower segments it is pretty simple Its just a 90 Degree bend with a flange where the outer skin is spot welded to. With Rover at the time having a Partnership with Honda Luckily the 400 and 45 is the same car in terms of bodywork pretty much. Hence why i have bought Rover sills and Rover Inner Arches (they're probably cheaper too) and they will do the same job. Part Numbers if needed ALA120220 for the Side Panel (do note the side panel is a saloon not a hatchback as they are no longer available.) ALX140020 and ALX140030 for the Rear inner arches. The idea will be to chop the sill segment and rear arch segment off the genuine panel and to replace what is the rotten part on my Civic. With this i can maintain the original pressings of the panel such as the grommet holes. Hopefully in the New year i can get round to producing the Inner sill segments to be used.
  4. Hello everyone, I see this pic today on FB and I'm crazy looking for this white rear lights, any know where I can find? Or maybe is a diy mod?
  5. Hi everyone, I'm quite new here and I've just picked up my first ever 1997 Honda Civic today. I'm looking for some exhaust reccomendations because I'm not sure what fits and what doesn't. I'm not looking for anything crazy just something that makes the car sound a bit more fruity and looks good when sitting under the rear bumper arch. So far though the car runs and drives lovely absolutely chuffed with it. Cheers
  6. So i repainted my grille black! Its not much but its honest work. I quite like the result but im thinking about : A: repainting my bumber to match with the rest of the car and spraying plastic black B: Putting on the one colored from my spare parts car Dont really know what to do. I like how my car looks now with the half plastic ones and cant decide if it would look good with second bumper. I will have to put on the second one to decide but you can tell me what do you think would look better :)
  7. Started with a little experiments a few months ago, just something to keep me busy in between jobs etc. Started out with an extra stock lid that goes on top of the trunk. Added a piece of plastic to lengthen it, melted it to shape and filled it with expanding foam This was still super experimental, started to cut the foam to shape but to start over since I wasnt satisfied with the basic shape. Also the third brake light position wasnt much to my liking. So back to the drawing board! Felt it was too short to, so I extended it using a Citroen C3 rear wing thingy. This was long enough, so I was off to shaping and smoothing filled everything up, fill, sand, repeat. sprayed some primer on it, more sanding. Tried to use lines to get it as closely symmetrical as I could. Now I needed to fill in the underside too, I've kept the third brake light in its original location. Used foam and glassfibre to create a strong base. Again, loads of sanding and filling to get everything nice and smooth. Almost there! Have to figure out a way to shape the surrounding filler to fit the third brakelight nicely.
  8. Hi, iam glad this forum still exists... if you need to upgrade your headlamps... I wanted to show you what i did... basically ebay retrofit kit. So ya, it fits nicely, there is how it looks. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auxbeam-H1-LED-Headlight-Hi-Lo-Driving-Bulb-70W-7000LM-6000K-Decoder-Replace-Kit/153614622461?hash=item23c4251efd:g:44gAAOSwvNhdS8jZ https://www.ebay.com/itm/HID-Bi-xenon-Projector-Lens-LED-Square-Angel-Eyes-For-H1-H4-H7-Car-Motorcycle/372702246099?hash=item56c6c8f4d3:m:mBnGfFGoBxmiVNW5LRyRKng I hope i saved you some thinking :) I do not have a review, i just installed it and it shines ok, but i need to adjust it properly. But its way better than old style original lights for sure! The rings are DRL (controled by first position on lights swithc - parking light) and those switch off when you go for regular lights.
  9. Could anyone inform me with what kind of coilovers/springs fit on the mb4?
  10. Zex

    Front lights

Hey So I have owned my mb4 for over a year now and I was wondering if the Honda Accord front lights fit on the mb4. I would appreciate it if you could tell me what parts also fit on it. Thanks
  11. Does the body kit fitted in these photos appear to be genuine or aftermarket? This is not my car, just photos seen online.

  13. Anyone with a vti s hatch can show a pic or explain the proper fitting of the rear lip please... Ive fitted mine but just used the 4 screws that go on each end and im going to use black cable ties to go underneath holes cos i dont have the bolts or the plastic clips.... 2 things im not sure about is there some metal brackets that go in between the bumper and the lip where it meets the arches that the screws go through. Are these brackets supposed to be clipped in over the screw holes on the lip or the bumper it self? Also i noticed the top of the lip where it touches the bumper has slight gap so not a tight fit...is there supposed to be some 3m double sided strip to applied across the lip on the inside? I do have some 3m but ive read its supposed to be applied in warm weather or it wont bond... Sorry for long post but rather than put another thread up i might aswell ask here if anyone has any ideas if mg zs sideskirts can be fitted without those plastic clips that are fitted on the inside? Sadly i had mine painted then realized that all plastic clips and holders are non present as when i broke my zs earlier this year i unkowingly pulled the skirts incorrectly causing them to rip off.. Any help appreciated
  14. Nice Little meet with Dream owners club today ,sadly no mb's about .Good catch up

  15. Has anyone here bought new aftermarket front fenders for their MB6? Or just got used ones from scrap yard etc. ? I was wondering if the aftermarket ones fits directly or if there are any seam gaps, if the headlight and bonnet fit to it properly etc. Things that can go wrong. Diederichs makes them but couldn't find those. I got myself Polcar ones. https://catalog.polcar.com/#!KatKatalogGlowny/fender-front-381102/492184 Should i try fitting them first before getting them painted at a shop? I was thinking of putting them on later in spring. But could get them painted already. Any bodypanel/exterior info would be welcome in this forum. Considering aftermarket parts especially.
  16. Hi everyone! I want to change all rear lights (blinker, reverse, brake, fog) to LED bulbs and also do the jdm style lights. What LEDs would fit best? if you have any night pics with LEDs post here! And for jdm tail light conversion, i would have to get other fog light loom or i just need the bulb holder? Thank you! (sorry for my English )
  17. Hi I'm just wondering if anybody here has experience with fitting the OEM/standard Mb's spoiler onto one that originally didn't have one? Mb2/4 etc Got a spoiler with brake light wiring all complete etc and I'm wondering how to go about it or to bother at all. - Any tips for drilling screw holes in the boot lid for the spoiler? This is what's making me not want to do it to be honest. Scared I'll mess it up. Need the bolts too. - Is there anywhere for the brake light wiring to plug into on the MB2's? I've taken the boot interior out and looked and can't see where it would go to. Any tips/pictures etc would help too. Thanks!
