  1. 100%! My other worry is that there must be some of that plastic gets dissolved into the fuel and ends up in the engine. Sounds like a good way of getting loads of burnt cack coated on things that shouldn't have burnt cack on them.
  2. @KiNK43 are these the large oem fogs that you've got? You had yours to bits not long ago? @RuifcNunes would be worth having a look at Jake's project thread.
  3. It is p poor like. Just hope that e5 super keeps being sold.
  4. Wow! That is the mutts nuts! Fair play, that looks like an amazing mod. What model is the roof from? I bet that totally transforms how it feels inside.
  5. Looking at the ecu it looks like there's 4 connectors needed? Would be worth looking at the sticker on the ecu with the barcode on, and check what model ecu it is (e.g. P73 / P72 etc), then do a bit of research to see what odb it is - you might need an odb adapter. Most ecus won't operate the Iab valves in the intake manifold, so that's something to be aware of as well (think only the p72 will do it)
  6. Nice one - must be handy to be able to print new parts... Good work and glad you sorted it.
  7. Looks smart.. How are you finding it? Back to the thread title matching the car I guess
  8. I'm not sure if anyone has had the issue before, but if you do take it apart again I'm sure that photos/video will help someone as if it's happened to you it'll no doubt happen to someone else. So what was the problem in the end? And did you have to print a new part?
  9. Hi Rui, welcome to the site. I'm not sure I remember anyone ever taking one apart to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if the plastic end caps snap on when it's assembled in the factory.
  10. So an update from talking to an injector repair place, apparently the e10 makes a plastic filter inside the injector disintegrate, which then blocks the injector. Rubbish.
  11. So just took the old injector to a place that services/tests/cleans them that was recommended so I can have a spare (that might need to be fitted sooner rather than later as another one seems to be on the way). Turns out I know the fella there's, so we were having a catch up. He was saying that they're having loads of honda injectors through... Like loads every week! He was showing me some photos of what happens - there's a plastic filter in the injector mounted from the top, and the new fuel makes it disintegrate, so all the plastic and bits of crap end up blocking the injector. He was also showing me some results of a set he'd tested this week - there was a misfire on one cylinder, but when they tested the injectors only one was okay, and the rest were all about the same level of poor performance. When they repair them they use stainless filters so should be much better. Bad crack this E10
  12. Doesn't it just... At the minute I think I'm leaning toward importing an odyssey. The accord is slightly too small for family adventures... There's some well tasty ones about... https://www.japanesecartrade.com/4721437-japan-used-honda-odyssey-van-minivan-2009.html Though would have to hope that one could be jacked up on the coilies for camping adventures Would still need to smarten the accord up to sell though.. But then would be tempted to keep it then... Need to see how sound it is underneath before chucking money at it really.
  13. There's not many manuals with the 2.4 lump, and very few type S ever come up. There is a lovely jap import one at the minute http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202209019323496?atmobcid=soc3
  14. Nah, been waiting to get it in the body shop.. Everyone's so busy at the minute. Not sure what we're going to do to be honest. Think they all start to go at the arches. Such a shame that Honda's are so prone to rust - especially with all the salt on the roads up our way.
  15. No, can just get them separate. Can't remember how much the last one was - think I've blocked it from my memory to avoid the pain... Think it was around the £200 mark though. Just ordered a used one off ebay for £25. Worst case might be able to get it restored. Think I will anyway and keep it as a spare. Feels like it's almost the end of the line for the tourer, with all that's happened this year, and the rust on the arches. Shame, coz it's a great car.
  16. Another injector bites the dust...
  17. I guess it's a right off? Such a shame man. Was it the fence that did the damage? Pleased everyone's okay.
  18. Nightmare! Hope you're okay mate.
  19. Fecks sake! Can't help with the question unfortunately, but what on earth is going on there to make that happen? Must be something not right somewhere for it to fail twice so soon?
  20. That's good to hear, I did look at the bilsteins, but had really wanted adjustable, but it's great to hear that they're much stiffer than standard. Let us know how you get on with the spring plate.
