  1. So, bit of a grumpy update. Seems I did a bit of breaking of stuff when away camping. We had a trip up to Whitehaven to get some supplies in, and had the boys bikes on the roof... Went into a car park with a height restriction bar on... Didn't end well. Safe to say I was fuming with myself. Totally didn't notice the bar was there with it being round a corner and up a slight hill.. Was too busy trying to figure out where the car park was. Looks like it's fixable, and we were going to get it into the body shop anyway to get some rust and scratches sorted out, but it's a bit of a bummer and more expensive. As it needs new roof trim anyway, going to try and get some rails instead of having those bars that grab the roof. Never liked them anyway. Luckily I was next to a boat yard and was able to borrow a lump hammer and done wooden blocks, otherwise i wouldn't have been able to straighten the bar that was bent to get them back on. Would've been well stuffed.
  2. Predictive text Yeah, they seemed like they were a decent option. If you could mate, that'd be sound. Not sure if my p28 needs a repair as well. Need to do a bit of fault finding to see if it's the socket or something else. Like i say, I need to pull my finger out
  3. Have you still got the S2k as well Andrew? Good Mpg is a big thing at the minute. The Mrs is thinking about getting an aygo or something for knocking round the doors because the accord is too heavy on fuel.
  4. Lower? No, still the same height (bit too low though). Yeah. I'm trying to get some better shocks first though cos the ride is terrible. Been in touch with koni UK about the different shocks - in going to post some info on here at some point after. The dc2/eg ones seemed like they'd be okay for the rear as they were 30mm out something shorter, but the fronts were (I think) 70mm shorter or something. Also the forces for rebound were quite off. Old accord ones look like they might be a goer but I need to look into it a bit more. Also, I need a budget friendly way to get in mapped at the end. I was looking at a hondavert S300 copy from Dynodaze, but with the whole Ukraine thing it looks like they've disappeared off the Internet. Need to pull my finger out though

    Yeah, that's playing on my mind as well - there are 3 height settings on the koni rear shocks, but might not be enough to compensate. Probably going to have to try and find out from koni...

    There's so much guess work in modding these cars I'll try and get more info before ordering anything It'll be with my eibach ones which are for the deck. They're too much for the oem spec shocks to take, and doesn't help with them being so compressed.

    Cool. I did notice that the type r / non g type r shocks were listed separately. Do you know about the fronts Jake? Guessing these ones are the fellas if they're okay for EGs as well (and the picture is right).

    Am I right in thinking that the only difference fitment wise for dc2 shocks is the forks on the rears? When I got the skunk LCAs fitted they needed to machine the bush down to be able to fit the shocks, so presumably the LCAs were eg/dc2 ones. I've got to get some better shocks, and miss the konis I used to have, and am thinking about going down the integra route if it will work.
  17. I had a feeling that someone had issues with this boss before... There's a bit of info on this thread here... Sounds like you're going to have to whip the wheel off to measure the spline to be sure.
  18. As I understand it, the ethanol dissolves gunk that's built up in the system over the years, and that clogs the injectors (or at least that's the theory. We've been making sure we go to tesco, as the price difference there seems to be normally 5-6p per litre, which as a percentage of nyon 2 quid isn't much especially given the better fuel efficiency.
  19. Nice one with the exhaust. I'm sure that I had an issue with an O ring when I did my thermostat ages ago. Always quite liked the fan blades.
  20. Nice one. Fresh plastics make such a difference to the look of the car. I've been using gummi pflege on the deck, and it's amazing how good it works.. It's mainly meant to revive and protect rubber seals, but it works on plastics great as well.
