    I think so from my experience. even with standard air box and intake mani you can hear the difference, and it makes it more willing to accelerate (even if it is just getting to full throttle earlier i prefer that characteristic). The dc2 intake really suited it though when i fitted it as the standard one was obviously too small... was a really tight fit and must have been a restriction.

    Front and back are the same width on ours as standard as far as i know

    had no problems with the immobiliser on mine... now all the sensors that needed disabling and then problem with the chip was another matter...

    Does sound like distributer... i know that people have had problems trying to diagnose and repair distributors in the past

    Think that there's also a difference in the later years as well, when there was the change from a lap belt in the middle at the back to all 3 point belts.
