  1. Some pics from install of Bluetooth / ipod connection today. Whip out ashtray Unscrew 2 screws that are exposed Pop gear stick gator out Take out ashtray, then next 2 screws holding storage box in Pull storage box out (easier on the type s than the unit with a little shelf and storage box on the exec. Chop a wee hole in the back with tool of choice (drummer for me) to fit ipod, USB extension cable and mini jack aux cable, then glue back in place with hot glue gun. Fit control for phone functions in coin tray. Stash device in space behind storage box and tidy excess cable, and reassemble dash. Fit mic with cable behind door seal, and connect to controller in coin tray. Job done.
  2. Nice one Have a look behind the side trims in the boot... My rear boot windows (side ones) leak a bit and you can see that's how it gets into the wheel well. Might be the same for you.
  3. Yep.. But this one doesn't have rusty arches, and it's got a bigger engine
  4. Hmm... Might be interested.. Was looking into double din last night... There's two options - one where you lose the storage in the dash and keep the old radio in for the climate controls, or one with replacement controls and display where the double din replaces the radio, but that costs £200 just for the fascia kit and controls! Looks like the best option though. Gonna go down the speaker upgrade option first though, coz we've got a kit from the old one that adds Bluetooth, Iphone connection and USB using the multi changer connection so you can still use the wheel controls.
  5. Pleasantly surprised with it so far.. Haven't had a proper bit fun as the roads were pretty busy on the way home, but it's a massive difference to the old k20 executive. The ride is much better as well... Much firmer and more planted. Only downside so far is the sound system isn't a patch on the old one with the sub in the boot, but that's easily solved.
  6. Well, time to revive this thread from the dead to say that it's the end of the road for the Broon family tourer. And hello to the new Broon family tourer Finally @fun_sized_ka saw the k24 light
  7. Nice bunch of stuff waiting to go on there! Can vote for moog quality by the way... For some reason my car eats ball joints... Even had some mfactory ones and they only lasted about a year. Moog ones were next and they've been on for ages now. Good stuff.
  8. Been a little while without an update... not much to report though. Got some amazing new bulbs though Got some of these when there was one of the many limited 30% off sales... what a difference though! Much better than the normal extreme vision, which are much better than the night breakers, which are much better than anything else. The light is really white, and projects a long way down the road. That's in the car park at work on dipped beam (right up against the wall). Oh, and.... 3

    My eg hatch

Must admit it has always seemed odd to have a big wind catcher at the back of the car, and I've often wondered about one of those diffuser trays for a different car to guide the air around and under the bumper.
