    Springs question

Hi guys, got a set of lowering springs for my deck that a now surplus to requirements, will they work on any other model? Just want to know so I can put them up for sale without stitching anyone up.
  2. Hello all, I have came across a weird whine coming from the gearbox side of things. The whine is like when you try to accelerate in reverse but it only happens when im up at say 30+ and i slightly press the accelerator pedal like im trying to maintain speed. it usually gets worse the faster i go but as soon as i let go of the throttle it stops? Any ideas? Cheers!
  3. So i spent a fair portion of this morning removing the old airbox from my MB2 and fitting an aftermarket Cold Air Intake I was absolutely shocked at just how big, complex and well secured the old air box was... There are so many compartments and redirections of the airflow that its amazing the engine gets any air at all! Need to get a new intake pipe with a socket for the Airflow Meter then i can get rid of the last small compartment on that one and have a proper air intake system with no stalling of airflow. P.S. Nice throaty sound under throttle now, just need to get myself an exhaust to match and il be happy with the noise side of things
  4. Hey guys, Bought a Honda Civic 1.6 LS, off for vehicle inspection & MOT today, wish it luck lol the guy who sold it to me didn't bother driving it for a few months & left it to rot on his driveway. He planned on using it for track racing, but had other priorities. Was a gamble & is it hard to find exterior parts, but thanks to this forum I've found a few! I will take some pictures in the upcoming weeks ahead.

  6. Hi guys. you may remember about 7weeks ago I posted pictures of my Orleans blue mb3 project, the cars now just gone over 28k now. so after speaking to many insurance companies and finding the policy I'm going with, I've started buying parts to start the build early May time. so this week I bought, where to start. Meister r zeta s coilovers mb6 hub swap with calipers cyberspeed LCA's Mb6 Arb 1 inch MC hel braided brake lines mg zs spoiler (needs painting) honda mist spray windscreen washers vti front lip (needs painting) handbrake cables due to only having drums on the rear. i've also got a backbox being made as my old one snapped, will be paired with my 2.25 inch stainless system with decat. i've also fitted my Jordan wheels just for the mean time. things needed still, a set of black 16 inch alloys with good tyres ideally the accord sport. new discs and pads extended top mounts. what would people recommend for discs and pads?? Thanks for your time.
  7. So my E36 ended up RIP so I needed a new daily. I didn't want to spend much and I knew another MB would make the most sense, so I spent £395 on a Toyota Celica with 183k miles on it! Saw it on Auto Trader, went to view it, liked it, bought it. At the services on the way home from buying her. One daily passing the torch to the other. I know it's a massive step backwards in terms of car, but having a simple little Toyota as a daily does mean I get to run it for pennies, which has already made a difference seeing as my MB6 is currently looking 10x better than it ever did! Taking some time to admire how much blank canvas I have. Parked next to the MB6 for the first time. I've moved back to my parents' house by the way, so I get a sick driveway again! Decided to make it in Juiced on the PS2. A week later I took it to Santa Pod! At this point I'd ripped the front plate off for that sexy USDM look up front. And yes, I did get a video. Best time was 16.9 @ 84mph, after the internet told me it wouldn't do better than 17.5! Then I bought a roll of Penguin Tape, oh yes. Also took the rear wiper off as it didn't work. Got some 8000K HID bulbs and yellow tint film for the fog lights. Yes, I'm that guy who puts HIDs in halogen headlights. I'm officially fed up of new cars that have glare-king headlights as standard. Password JDM plate bracket because the police kept looking at my lack of plate on the bumper. And also a moustache. I also have a double DIN headunit and a light up dildo gear knob in the car but I'll have to get some proper pictures of those. She does have some problems that need addressing. One being all four tyres being borderline legal but I want to put some new wheels on it before buying new tyres. Second problem is the standard Toyota oil leak, I fixed one and then another popped up so that'll have to be looked at. Third, it burns oil faster than any Honda can. And finally, it can't idle for s**t so something is wrong there too. But overall I love it! Oh and as of writing this, it has 188k on the clock. Only had it for 5 weeks so far! Current mod list: - Audio -- Pioneer MVH-AV280BT headunit - Interior -- Light up dildo gear knob -- Penguin Tape wrap - Exterior -- eBay/Sun Woif 55w 8000K HID headlight bulbs -- Yellow tint foglights -- PasswordJDM number plate bracket -- 12x6 number plates -- LED sidelights -- 5000K main beam bulbs -- Totes JDM decals -- Penguin Tape wrapped fuel filler flap -- Rear dewiper - Engine -- Toyosports induction kit - Chassis -- TSW Venom 16x7J ET40 Wheels -- 25mm spacers
  8. Anyone know of anyone selling s80 box or don't know if s4c with lsd is any good would prefer closer to Scotland the better, I don't have Facebook and all the Honda parts for sale seem to be closed group? Can anyone help out cheers
  9. Hello all, Ive recently painted my again! and I'm wanting to change the wheel nuts aswell so I'm asking for advice on what shape the end of the nut has to be? or is there conversion washers to suit that kind? I have speedlines on and I'm looking for purple wheel nuts.
  10. Hi, this is my first topic & time on these forums as I have bought a Honda LS 1.6. The car has been modified as you can see from the pic, but the bumpers are made out of terrible fiberglass material. I wanted to know which exterior parts from Honda models I could put on there without making too many adjustments. Sorry if there is a topic already about this but I feel I was unable to get answers that were relevant. Thanks for your help.
  11. Hi guys, not been on here for a wee while now since I swapped my aerodeck last year. Swapped for a ej6 coupe which I had planned on putting my b18c4 into. Spent a bit of time fitting some bits and pieces and gathering parts for converting it from a d series to b. Some pics... So I fitted a ek9 grill and front lip and done a wee bit colour doing. Fitted Impreza turbo front seats (£20 bargain) wind deflectors, sunstrip, short shifter, Kode steering wheel, Rita circuits 15" et38, 300mm ep3 front brakes, 5zigen border 304 back box with custom pipe work that I done myself, new number plates, generally just cleaning it up. Was browsing the Facebook for sale pages one day and seen a b16 converted ej8 coupe, local and for much cheapness. It was needing some work but with the parts fitted to it I thought that I could combine the two cars to make one good one. It's a clean base but needs tidying. Has a purple passengers side wing, silver grill, washer bottle motor not working, bolts missing, exhaust hitting fuel tank, short shifter snapped, leaking radiator and gearbox is missing 4th lol but for £900 I think it's not bad. Has miester r coilovers, vti fan blades, aem v2, skunk2 alpha manifold, cat back exhaust with buddyclub back box, skunk2 lcas and beaks bar. Iv had it 3 weeks now and made a start swapping and fixing things. So far iv repaired exhaust manifold, made a manifold back b pipe, fitted new washer pump, Rita wheels, Impreza seats,Kode wheel, centre console, linkages and short shifter, painted wing and grill. Still need to service it and fit my 300mm brakes. Think it will be nice in the end
  12. Anyone seen such a combo ? Im in love haha
  13. Hi all! I'm looking for advice or guidance on what others have done with regards to wheel arch extensions on the Civic 5 door? I'm not happy with my mud flaps so need to combat the issue in a different way. If there's a post already running then let me know

  16. hi all, time to make a start on my project thread. Been lurking a couple of months gathering parts and doing some research, and getting bored with the stock 100,000 mile tired old mb6 so it's time to pull my finger out and start modding. Parts so far: Ebay coilovers powerflex bushings various hard parts (tie rods etc.) plastic whales p***s new ht leads and dizzy cap/rotor bosch battery 4-1 ebay manifold drilled & grooved discs with mintex pads buddy club p1 16x7j wheels with toyo t1r's kenwood head unit, kenwood 10'' sub and jbl amp misc fluids etc. I have a set of new old stock itr pistons (pr3) and a 98 type r cylinder head (p72) with valves and springs but no cams. I plan on doing a full rebuild and hi comp N/A build in the future but for now i just want to get the car lightly modded and sitting right, work out the issues. Been hit with health problems recently so i'm not going to be overseas working for a coupla months which sucks so moneys gonna be tight but i will have plenty of time. Lucky for me i have a decent sized workshop with full sized pit with overhead beam and hoist, just need to get off my a*s and get it cleared out properly, nearly there. You'll be seeing plenty of pics over the next few weeks anyway so looking forward to you guys feedback along the way. Lets do this. mb6 with it's little brother S205OBY wheel choice voltmeter sounds will upload more pics soon

  19. Hello everyone, put this off for sometime as wanted to get a few things done and sorted before starting this thread.Where to start, well I bought my Mb2 nearly two years ago from a neighbour who was going to part exchange the car in so had it for £200 bargain really as they're an elderly couple and had the car from new, garaged it and only had 65k on the clock. After I bought her and the keys were handed over, that's where the fun started!First thing I did was buy some his lights which made a big difference, they are some Chinese brand but have been on 2 years now. Next was some fogs with another hid kit on, I just couldn't justify paying prices of the second hand fogs for the car. After saving up some more I bought some 17" alloys which I have just taken off due to hopefully getting some 15" BBS ones. After that I thought to take some attention to under the hood. A induction kit has been added which just made it sound meatier, not so sure about performance. Then got a few bargains. Bought a front and rear brace both for £10! Tried to make the back brace look as pretty as I could by cutting part of the carpet out the back , as I'm not the best at making things look neat Biggest and the best mod I've done has got to be my coilovers got them off Matt who's Mb sadly died.Along when purchasing his coilovers I also bought blacked out headlights and his black grill..all this was great and Matt is such a top lad! All that fitted and she is looking mighty fine. Then I made a trip to to get a silver vti-s kit which set me back £60! I know what a bargain! The bad points which I've finally got the ball rolling are the back arches, for some reason even though the couple who owned KT before garaged her , the arches are eaten away so getting those sorted in the upcoming months.and finally slight paint flaking on my back bumper but all in all everything else is rosey. Could anyone give me some ideas for some engine mods? I have been thinking of a swap but don't know if worth it? Let me know !!! Thanks and will try and update as often as possible
  20. Right... fresh start with a new car! After having an accident in my MB3 quite recently, I have to get another car to take my mind of it. So my oleman decided to help me out on buying me another M! A week later I have found a 1998 Honda Civic Aerodeck MB9 in Pirates Black! Strangely this model doesn't have Air Conditioning? I saw it on Gumtree advertised for £385. It was cheap mainly because it had 158'000 miles on the clock (we all know this is nothing to a Honda) Even though it was 300 miles away, I was determined to buy that car! Bad points: The first thing I noticed was the rust on the rear arches, but I seen worst... Scratches all over, heavy scuffs around the bumpers, a very nasty deep dent on the rear panel, no rear door handle, a broken drivers side mirror and a broken aerial. The bonnet catch has a mind of it's own (one minute it will shut, next minute it won't!) Petrol cap flap doesn't close and the door locks are dodgy at times. Every interior air vent is broken, all door card cloths are stretched and SRS light is on. What's it like to drive? Well it has a very sticky throttle, brakes don't seem that effective and one of the rear brakes binding (common) The rear trailing arm bushes need replacing and the clutch has a very high biting point. Also the revs go up and down on idle (probably the Idle air control valve) So she had a hard life but I know I can replace every part on this car from my old Civic! Also with all these faults, I manged to knock £50 off as the seller didn't even know it had these faults. So I'm chuffed with that Good points: Eveything else works! Windows close properly and all 4 speeds on heaters work surprisingly! And it has a brand new OEM headlight! It has more bottom end grunt than my MB3 (even though the MB3 has less miles and more mods) Also the fuel economy is absolutely amazing! Filled the tank right up, done 360 miles and only used just over half a tank of fuel! Anyway enough yapping, here's a few not so great pictures. I will get more up tomorrow!!
