I did on my old MA8 civic, but it was OEM ones. I bought the oem wiring harness that goes from the fogs to the inner wing and the one that goes up inside the dash and replaces one that is already there that goes to standard fog light switch. Replaced the switch with the double fog light one. Also fitted the relay to the fuse box etc. Was a pain in the butt to do but resulted in a nice oem install. If your fiting aftermarket ones, it should be a lot easier! Less wiring to do, although youll need to fit a switch for them. Does look nicer with the fogs fitted though! Agree mate, the little colour coding seems to make them feel more modern and more up market. Looking forward to the pics And nice to see a car that has sentimental reasons for keeping too. Im the same with the aerodeck, belonged to my late wife who really looked after it and loved the car. Can never part with it as so many memories tied up in it, and love it as much as she did now.

Oh, also try putting the window down a little, maybe 20mm then go for a drive and see if the noise is still there. The window mechanism/window channel can also cause intermittent sounds like that. Another one I've experienced!

That's bizarre! Not really sure mate, glove box lid maybe? Try folding some tissue into a kind of wedge, and place it between dash and glovebox lid, then close the glovebox. The tissue/padding should be thick enough to make it really tight to close the glovebox. Also check the cooler stay (the little metal bar that stops door being opened too far. I've had noise from those before. Other than that, it's a process of elimination mate I'm afraid.

If you have the under seat tray on passenger seat, this can sometimes rattle which might give a similar sound. Deffo not a common fault so you may need to either get someone to drive while you try and investigate where it's coming for or get a passenger to investigate while you drive. Is it a proper "click" that has a constant rythmn? Like a relay? Or just a random click sound?

Stunning mate!

Tidy wee daily that!

Thanks mate. Took a lot of work as I machined the cover smooth so all the seams were gone, then metal polished all the bits I wanted chrome, then masked and resprayed it in the same colour as the car (sicillian red mica). Took forever to get it right but was well worth it! She still has that rocker cover even now, and I sold her over two years ago! The member I sold her too has also spent a lot of time and money on her since then as he's as OCD about her as I was so all's good in Ruby's world lol

Welcome mate! That's a really sweet looking mb6 you've got, really looks clean! Reminds me of the MB6 I had (for a very long time!) called Ruby. Same colour as yours, and one of my fav colours on them. Mine was standard when bought too (only Honda dealership then an old guy had owned it and 33K on the clock) and spent years getting it how I wanted. Still going strong and owned by another forum member now! Miss that car soo much! lol Looking forward to see where you go with this one bud!

Try disconnecting the battery, leave for a five to ten mins then reconnect it. This usually unlocks all doors. If it doesn't, disconnect the battery again and try the following.: You will need to remove the screws that hold on the door card, then try and prise off the card. It will probably bust all the clips and you may need the break the door card to get it off but it's easy to pick up a replacement one. Once off, see if you can swap out the solenoid for another one and see if it unlocks the door.

If you can unlock the door from inside and get the door open, take the trim panel off and try and see what's happening inside when you turn the key in the lock. It could be the lock itself that's faulty or one of the connections/rods from it that needs sorting. If it's just the solenoid, that can be changed easily mate.

That looks amazing! Funny how a simple mod like that can actually make the interior look so much more modern and up to date. Loving that!

As far as im aware its no mate. The aerodecks are slightly wider behind the c pillar so it would be too big. You could possibly cut it down to size, but would also need to graft the panels that hold it in place on the deck into your hatch.

Welcome to Civic5 mate. Looks a good base to start with, and the D1.5's are a great engine. Regarding the overheating issue, when you say gasket leak do you mean "head gasket"? If so then this will be your cause of overheating. If it is this, you'll possibly need the head skimmed during fitting of the replacement gasket. If not then first place to look is the thermostat. These are easy to replace (and cheap) and after replaced, make sure all air is out of the cooling system. We have a "How to" in the tech section on this. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one mate, enjoy the club and forum.

Looking good mate. Remember, depending on the model, the rear windows (the boot ones) come from the factory with a very light tint already. Could be that thats making it look a different shade of tint?

So if I wind out the springs, will I need to adjust the height higher or lower? think the way they are just now, they are probably set as high as they can go? With the springs unwound, will I need to then stiffen the dampers or should they be fine with what they are just now? Never mucked about with the springs before so want to make sure I don't faff it up!

Now hadn't thought of that, would save me loads! Yeah, I'm with you on the comfort side of things Gerry, although not really looking forward to stripping the suspension all off again. Mind you, was going to renew the trailing arms etc so would make sense to swap in the oem suspension at the same time. Want to fit a new set of tyres at some point too, cos although the tread is fine on the current ones (think they're Perreli or Michelins) the tyres areover 5 years old now so have slight concerns about degredation. Suppose the sale of the Meister's would help with that too. Water ingress stopped after clipping whatever it was back in place so hoping nothing more to do on that front. Just found it a bit strange that it happened, never come across water coming in there before on any of my previous Civic M's.

Wow! That looks stunning mate! Always been a fan of white alloys, and those look better than new! The decals look cool, not seen those ones before and digging the wee "crown" vale caps. Looking very trick sir! Give the tyre fitter a slap though! Putting the weight on the outside of the rim...............I always tell em absolutely no-no, they can balance them with weights on the inside. PS: Don't envy the job you'll have keeping the buggers clean though dude! Was always washing Ruby's white stilettos every couple of days, although was worth the effort.

Just back from another wee run in DD and had the strangest thing happen! As she got really dirty during the run last week, she got left like that in the garage. So took her to a good car wash near here (I know, cardinal sin and goes against what I usually do which is always handwash her. But I've been ill again since Thursday so not got the energy to do that at the moment). We were half way through, and Gayle screamed "There's water dripping onto my feet!" . I thought instantle it was the drain tubes are blocked, and as the car windows were misting up realy badly put the fan on full blast (to the windscreen) with the aircon on. Didn't seem to clear it at all, and Gayle said the fan was still blowing at her feet. Checked (still halfway through the car wash at this point!) and it felt like either the pipework for the vents or the cover for where the pollen filter sits had popped open. Could feel the air being blown out through it. quickly clicked it shut and water stopped and windscreen cleared quickly. A fair old bit of water had got in though and soaked Gayle and the car mat. Took it our once were were out of there and luckily the carpet underneath the mat was bone dry (just shows the quality of oem Honda civic Mats!) so now got the mat outside drying off. Never had this happen before so not sure what had popped open or why. Again, as I'm not well at the moment, couldn't really check any further today but will have a look once I'm better.

You can retro-fit aftermarket ones mate. Been a few on here that have done this. The original ones are hard to find now, especially in good condition. I bought a spare set for DD a long time ago as knew these would be one of the parts that eventually go and would struggle to get replacements.
