  1. Well since I have been on this forum for a little while now I suppose I should show how the civic is going even though there is plenty to come! This is the way i bought her, clean unmodified (except from the back box) was perfect to start with. The car was very well looked after when i got her FSH inside was immaculate one arch needed done but that didnt bother me it was straight into the paintshop for repair with a new panel. The power of the b18 still impresses me for the age of the car! From there I hated the original 5 spoke just not my taste so I purchased a set of speedlines in need of refurb. This is them after a sandblast and powdercoat primer. Some how it wont let me put more picture in this post so i will continue below!
  2. Hey ho. As some people might already know i ran over a badger. So now I need to replace my front bumper, but where can i find one? It shouldhave a "Materialgutachten" (a certificate which we need here in Germany to be able to put bodykits on our cars). I'm searching for weeks but I can't find anything, only lips or stuff for show-cars. Thanks!
  3. Has anyone fitted a nosebra to they car? I see many cars with a nose bra but never saw one on our models. I know they excist but want to see one and how it looks.
  4. Good evening, A friend of mine bought a civic mb2 (1.4) he made some mods and now after putting a p28 witha chip on it, the car cranks but it doesnt start. The key light just keeps blinking. If he uses the stock ecu it atarts right away. What could be wrong ? He shaved the harness lile mines are (mb6) to work with a p28. thanks
  5. Hello, So I got the dreaded grinding noise of metal to metal from my rear left wheel and knew instantly that the pads were way past their service life. Went to inspect the damage, but on first inspection, disc looked fine and there was still organic material on the outer pad. When I took the inner pad out however... it's worn so unevenly! And the metal warning thing had snapped off which is why I never heard it! The pad itself is worn at an angle with the "top" of the pad being worn to the metal while the bottom still has about 5/6mm of compound left. Obviously the inner and upper part of the disc is b****red so that means new discs as well... However, I noticed that the disc itself is move-able, surely it should be bolted on properly and wouldn't this cause the issue? Using my google-fu it came on another civic forum saying you don't need the retaining bolts/screws as once you bolt on the wheel the disc sits flush on the hub and theoretically shouldn't move(other than with the wheel obviously). If this is true, then why would only one pad be worn this way? Definitely getting new pads and discs, but where would I buy the retaining screws/bolts from? I can see them on ebay, but would like to get it sorted tomorrow... I'll put up pictures of the pads and disc tomorrow.
  6. Hello I had a little accident with a badger, so i have to replace my Front bumper. Can anyone tell me which models are similar to the MB3 so i can simply put their bumper on it? Dont know if all ma, mb & mc models have the same dimensions etc. Thanks!
  7. Hello all, Ive recently painted my again! and I'm wanting to change the wheel nuts aswell so I'm asking for advice on what shape the end of the nut has to be? or is there conversion washers to suit that kind? I have speedlines on and I'm looking for purple wheel nuts.

  12. Does anyone by any chance know where I could get rear trailing arm bushes? mine look a bit old and everytime someone sits in the back something squeeks over bumps? so I'm looking for bushes that will last long or could be polybush ones I'm not fussy. cheers! (civic mb6)
  13. Hi guys, not been on here for a wee while now since I swapped my aerodeck last year. Swapped for a ej6 coupe which I had planned on putting my b18c4 into. Spent a bit of time fitting some bits and pieces and gathering parts for converting it from a d series to b. Some pics... So I fitted a ek9 grill and front lip and done a wee bit colour doing. Fitted Impreza turbo front seats (£20 bargain) wind deflectors, sunstrip, short shifter, Kode steering wheel, Rita circuits 15" et38, 300mm ep3 front brakes, 5zigen border 304 back box with custom pipe work that I done myself, new number plates, generally just cleaning it up. Was browsing the Facebook for sale pages one day and seen a b16 converted ej8 coupe, local and for much cheapness. It was needing some work but with the parts fitted to it I thought that I could combine the two cars to make one good one. It's a clean base but needs tidying. Has a purple passengers side wing, silver grill, washer bottle motor not working, bolts missing, exhaust hitting fuel tank, short shifter snapped, leaking radiator and gearbox is missing 4th lol but for £900 I think it's not bad. Has miester r coilovers, vti fan blades, aem v2, skunk2 alpha manifold, cat back exhaust with buddyclub back box, skunk2 lcas and beaks bar. Iv had it 3 weeks now and made a start swapping and fixing things. So far iv repaired exhaust manifold, made a manifold back b pipe, fitted new washer pump, Rita wheels, Impreza seats,Kode wheel, centre console, linkages and short shifter, painted wing and grill. Still need to service it and fit my 300mm brakes. Think it will be nice in the end
  14. Anyone seen such a combo ? Im in love haha
  15. What should i do know or what ? More less i was revesing up the hill and i let the clutch out to hard by accident and i heard a bang and the car stopped and it wouldnt move.it was stuck in gear but we were able to revese it on up the hill and then there was a bad smell of clutch. Gear box is gone i think. He said something about a release bearing. It was on a 1.5 vtec engine, would it be hard to fix or what ?
  16. we did this once before here, as part of the MG ZS group buy of heated front screens. there is one last ever (I know I said the last time would be the last), and this really will be the last time as its not worth my time and hassle and I gain nothing from this...the last ever heated screen group buy the screens WILL come with a top tint, and are dual circuit heated. They are 25£ more than the last batch 5 years ago (inflation!) at £225+vat. its a real last minute thing coz I kinda forgot about you guys, but I have to place an order Monday 8th Feb and as before £100 deposit is required, non refundable as I would be stuck with the screen and I would still have to pay the balance, but if for any reason... find someone else to buy it, whatever, we just need to fulfil the order. Its done through Ricky Evans motorsport as before, they supply cars in the BTCC. They will not stock these screens, if they would I wouldn't have to go to all this hassle for nothing, so this really is the only way to get one, there will be none left over, what I order I have to pay for and you guys pay the same cost per screen as I do, we had to pay the tooling on the first batch, believe me, its no cheap process. Call me 07941 857777 or join teh dark side - MG ZS Owners club on facebook where there is a post, or prob better still, Jason simm on facebook, its the MGZS pic with the stelio pass in the background. Sorry its last minute, but I don't want to miss you guys out.
  17. I'm lucky enough to end up in Tokyo for 2 days in a few weeks and ofcourse will try to fit some car culture, preferably Honda into the trip. Does anyone know any car related spots/shops worth visiting in the city?
  18. As you may already know, i have a MB2 1.4s. Unfortunately i'm not active on the forum as much as i'd like to be at the moment.... So to make up for it, here is my photo whoring thread of the bits and pieces i have done already Got a new Sony radio with usb/aux. Carbon wrapped plastic parts under the radio. (gonna do some more wrapping when i get a bit more confident) my colour scheme is gonna be Silver/Black/Red... More photos to come..
  19. hi all, just sorned the civic for some much needed tlc. i have many plans for it, such as roll cage, bucket seats, lighten, blank sunroof, remove abs and ac, bake lines and fuel lines in car, hydraulic handbrake and maybe a few more.................. but, i want to freshen up the head, burns a bit of oil. do i need new head bolts or reuse old ones? anything i can do with the head off to gain a little? is there a how to guide somewhere on head rebuild/ torque setting etc ?
  20. Hello all, I’m new to the forum so will give you a little back ground about me, Spent years playing around with various cars, bikes quads etc and never really had anything very fast. In the summer we went for a rolling road day at a tuners in Leicester and got talking with the owner and he convinced me to build a civic turbo. So when I left there I spent weeks and weeks searching the internet for information on Honda’s, let me tell you if you’re not used to Honda’s its very confusing with all these Ek, Eg, Ej, Mb, Ma, etc etc I then came across a lovely clean Mb6 Aerodeck 1.8 Vti and thought would make a great sleeper, as well as coming with Lsd, 1.8 Dohc as standard. Got the car for just over £1300 with full extensive service history so I was quite pleased in the end. I then took the car to the tuners for a rolling road for a health check and power run, It made 163 Bhp which is not bad considering its only lost 7 hp in 15 years, ( and has a slight exhaust blow ) Once confirmed that car was ok to start building i began to write a list of parts needed, based on what i got told i needed and normal replacement parts such as cambelt kit etc. That list over the last 6 weeks has just got longer and longer. I planned on getting it to 300 bhp, and then wanted to make sure the engine was strong enough to be used on a daily basis and now we are looking at making it a 500bhp car. Thanks for looking more pictures to follow
  21. Hey all, I bought myself a black aerodeck vti a few months ago as a "daily" car but I've now decided to boost it and make it super amazing... Here she is in her standard form, bought it with only 93,000 miles and a few issues like airbag light on, cracked windscreen, dented drivers rear door (quite bad and looks man made), torn steering wheel, ripped and hanging door card material... I have sorted the airbag light but still have all the other issues which will be very easy to sort so I'm Not too fussed but sourcing a door in my particular black isn't easy and I'm still looking (It's NOT the Pirates black) As for the goodies that I have bought... Think I'm going to my unit this Sunday to fit the suspension and clutch... The White slipstreams look great on the car!!!
  22. Some Pics I took today. Next step to sort some wheels, get the bonnet and door sprayed, So far Ive done service and timing belt, K&N panel filter also. Car is showing its age and mileage but I intend on breathing fresh life into it.
